The US based Mona Vie, the global
leader in health and wellness industry, will soon be launching its operations
in India, with plans to open offices in five cities, including kochi, in the
first phase. The first 5 offices will be set up at Chennai, Bangalore,
Kolkatta, Guwahati and Kochi by Nov 21 and by the end of this year 5 more
offices, including New Delhi and Mumbai would be started. By 2012 march,
offices at Ahemdabad and Hyderabad would become a reality. Kerala, which is
witnessing a robust growth in the Multi Level Marketing segment, will be the
next big investment destination for Mona Vie, Randy Larsen, Founder and
President Asia Pacific and Latin America, told reporters here. India will be
the company's number one market in the world and about 130 distributors would
be appointed. There are plans to develop various ayurvedic products, including
medicines and to set up a manufacturing unit in Kerala, he said. 'We have plans
to export ayurvedic medicines from India to the rest of the world'. The company
has entered into a letter of intent with a kerala ayurvedic company, he said
but refused to give any details. Efforts are also on to set up a training and
education arm in India for employees, he said. Welcoming the recent guidelines
of the state government on the Direct Selling business format, he said the
company would fully adhere to the laws of the land. Raj Lingam, President-South
Asia, said Mona Vie, being a global playerfollows principles, ethical and
process driven approach when networking its distributors as well as customers.
Kerala being a potential market in the healthcare segment, will prove to be a
tremendous opportunity for the company to start off the Indian operations with
a huge success. The company will be launching 5 key products rich in
antioxidants and healthy formulas to enhance the health and energy levels of
